1000$ Gaming PC

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

He needs an Nvidia card you didn't read the OP

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($129.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 780 3GB DirectCU II Video Card  ($459.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($49.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $1096.58

Fixed, however this PSU has no headroom for 2-way SLI. If you want that headroom I suggest getting the EVGA G2 750W (Which will amount to about $30 more)

I'm looking for some help, my previous budget on 1500$ I recently realized that that would take a while to save up to. I am starting a new class where I am going to need a new pc, this winter / early spring I am going to upgrade it quite heavily, possible to an 780 ti. I am going to be sharing work with an nvidia pc so I am going to need an Nvidia pc. I am going to water cool it next summer, right now I am going to game mostly but animate a bit also. This is the stuff I had from the 1500$ budget, if anyone could help me get the price down to ~1000$ I'd like it if it didn't go over that, mostly because it costs ~100 to ship it to sweden.

I would drop the budget to $1100 instead of $1000. This way you still have excellent performance and the PSU has room for 2-way CF on the R9 290.

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Your PSU is way overkill. Change your 780ti to an R9 290 and then get a better cooler and motherboard.

You could also take the gigabyte GTX 780 however it is more expensive. Also you should OC the ASUS card since it's clocked at a mere 889MHz but it can easily reach 1GHz.
