WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR While Overclocking CPU

what was the voltage?

unstable RAM speed may also affect CPU OC

use only the UEFI to do the tweaking

Voltage was at 1.251

kinda high

Intel CPU will hit a wall at 1.3V

I expected the software to overshoot on voltages, which is something i can solve after getting a base OC i'd be happy with, but is there any way to solve this Bsod issue?

He could have a bad chip, some people even had to used 1.3 V to get 4.4 GHz... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjXDCk5eCp1gdEdENjlDYWl6ZnV4OVlNc0lMU1V3c1E&usp=sharing#gid=0

thats what i think too

Try with more voltage, does the BSOD show up when booting or at a random moment?

The BSOD accurs while overclocking as soon as i reach 4.4 GHZ

go bit by bit

1.27 then 1.28

jump too high and you fry your CPU

On prime 95 4.4GHZ at 1.275v seems to be working. Seems high though

use Intel Extreme Tuning tool or AIDA64

avoid using Prime95

I have to use 1.343 volts to get to 4.25 ghz.

Make sure you set your voltage to manual before stress testing, this is what could be causing the blue screens.

A couple hours later i got the CPU to 4.2GHZ at 1.176V, beyond that and it keeps crashing or going back down to 4.2/1.

One wierd thing is that each time i the clock speeds are at default, i'm using an Asus Z97-A

Any way to fix this?

:/

:o what a shame! change it if you can :P

Yeah its a pity, when I got my 4670k I had my fingers crossed by apparently they weren't crossed hard enough. I can get a stable 4.1 ghz with 1.26 volts so that is pretty safe but very poor.
