Has linus done a video explaining mouse lag?

Can the type of monitor increase mouse lag? (No idea why i am thinking this but can the 1~7 mili second differences between monitors make a difference?)

How much of a difference can it make?

Is it something to worry about?

I have no idea weather or not I am experiencing the "problem" currently, probobly not but i am trying to get the best set-up. Now i am looking at what monitor to get.

Did a quick search on the forums and can't find much information on the topic.

I sure hope I don't sound too pathetic, not even knowing if I have mouse-lag.

I just want the best of the best and i look to linus's reviews for that.

Moneys aint no issue for me,  I can eat rice for a month! ;-)

So in short:

Has linus done a video on mouse lag?

Has linus done a video on the monitor response times?

Is it something to worry about?

only to worry about if you do competitive fps gaming really, but input lag kinda stacks up, with your own reaction time the mouse input lag then your monitor and then back to your reaction time.

some bad cheap mice have a LOT more input lag than something like a G400s, but a G400s has no noticeable input lag at all :P

so unless you have a cheap wireless mouse i wouldnt worry about the mouse

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I'm using a wireless mouse (admittedly a good one) with a TV and I can't tell any lag unless I pick up the mouse and compare them side by side.

The response time listed in the specs is something different from input lag (mouse lag).  Input lag comes from the signal processing inside the monitor after it receives its instructions.  Input lag is entirely dependent on the internal monitor circuitry and controllers.  Typically it's 15-30ms although some monitors have much lower.  TVs usually have several hundred milliseconds.
