if safemode fails

it a partition failure or HDD failure

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

how would you say i go about backing up the data and reformatting

once you can access your SSD

copy over your important file that is stored in your SSD

copy the bookmarks of your browsers

this is what i usually copy over

there could be more depending on what you store on your SSD

you will need another computer

like a desktop or laptop

and this

sata-usb__32258_zoom.jpg

SATA to USB adapter or plug directly to the desktops internal SATA

you can do that but you will have to find a way to make those copied file to work after reformat

well you cant just blindly copy everything

because your OS is already broken so copying a broken OS wont work

if you need to recover your browser bookmarks

look here

https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/yWZeXbOmU80

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

if you got data in your document files

go into that folder and copy them out

same for the rest of your important files which you should be aware

you need to figure out what things you need to keep and what things you don't need

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
