So I'm currently in high school and have no prior experience in programming. After doing a little bit of research I decided that I'm going to start learning Python. The problem is that I don't know where/how to start. If any of you know some good resources such as websites, ebooks, or videos, please let me know! Thanks (:

Learn Python the Hard Way is the only book I'd recommend. Zed Shaw is a genius, and that will definitely teach you the basics. For $29.95 you get a hard copy and a DRM-free online version.

If you haven't already done so then take a look in our Ultimate Programming Resources Thread. If you're looking for a decent IDE then go to JetBrains and take a look at PyCharm. It's cross platform and built upon their ReSharper technology.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.
