Can I Run 1440p?

Darth Hideous

Hey guys,

Sorry if this seems like a rather noobish question, but I'm just not too sure where to find the answer. After watching Logan's videos on Korean monitors, I'm interested in getting one of the X-star models, however; I'm not actually sure whether or not my setup will support 1440p. I currently run a AMD APU (A8 -6600K), does anyone know if I would be able to run a 1440p monitor? I don't use my computer for gaming if that makes a difference, just wanted a new monitor on the cheap and these looked perfect.

Thanks for the help.

It's able to run a 1440p monitor however do not expect to be gaming well with that resolution :D.

The standard Intel HD graphics supports up to 2560x1600 so I expect an APU to be able to handle more :)

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Sweet, thanks for the answer. I don't really use my PC for gaming anyways.
