So I was playing on my PC this morning and everything was working fine, it asked if a wanted to restart to update and i did and when it had finished and booted into windows i left it for about 5 mins and then turned it off, when i came back and turned it on it didnt boot into windows, so i jumped in to BIOS and checked the boot order and everything was fine. then i thought i will restore it to a previous backup and it gave me an error for every  option, i have looked around on the internet and have not found anything on this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right, what errors are you getting? When it doesn't boot, what exactly happens?

just make a linux bootable USB, which is free and should take about a half hour tops.

then boot from the USB, choose to "try out" the OS instead of installing, then do what I told you.

I'm not 100% sure this will work, and I would suggest it after you've tried some other things, as it could be a complete waste of time.

Okay i have Unbuntu booted up on a USB how do access the file that i need to delete?

open the file explorer, go to computer, then find the HDD with windows installed. then find the file I suggested and delete it.

don't worry, it's just a font cache file, and it will reload itself properly after windows boots.

If my advice doesn't work, then someone else might be able to help.
