After some time of work with PC (6-7 hours), every new tab causes very annoying lag. Example: http://puu.sh/aQK1Y/f2cfe03cb8.mp3

  • Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
  • BIOS American Megatrends Inc. 0704
  • Intel i3-2100
  • 2x4GB Patriot RAM (667MHz)
  • GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6850
  • Seagate ST500DM002-1BD142

I don't know what to do. I asked my friends but they don't know what to do as well.

thought you ment lag when opening the tab, not with the music when you opened it, probably not the ram after all

Is it only audio lag? Or do you have visual lags too?

Yes, lag happens when opening the tab. Plus it seems to be happening on sites with any media-files. I have a lot of problems over-all, but this one is the most annoying.

Yes, it is visual lag as well. For example, if i watch video on second monitor, opening tab on first monitor creates both audio and visual lag.

Have you tried reinstalling/using a different browser? Also defragging your HDD might also be a good idea. Do you notice these lags in any other programs? Do you have any overclocks running?

It also happens in steam client, firefox. Not only Chrome. I'll try defragging my HDD. Also, i don't have any oveclocks running.

Yeah that's the only thing I can think of now. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

To me, it sounds like your RAM usage is super high. Also, you don't have 667MHz RAM, it's DDR, so it's actually 1333MHz :P

I know this issue, ive had it before. Its the CPU.

This happens when the CPU is struggling to process the Audio and do your tasks. Your CPU cant hand how many things are going on.

And how do i fix it? Buy a new CPU?

Kinda, not much else you can do. ive had this issue on my mums laptop where he CPU was always reaching Max when i was multi tasking and every time it went Max it would cut the audio for a split second to do the other task exactly as shown in your Audio.

You can try to Disable startup programs and processes freeing up your CPU usage.

You can use Task manager to disable stuff and look at the CPU usage
