Do you use UPS?

Secondly, I'v heard that if you have PSU for ex. 650watts you need twice more wattage UPS. So, in my case, which UPS do you recommend & by the way, is it good idea to get UPS or it's not necessary?

First i though it was the shipping service. But i don't use a uninterrupted power supply because i don't keep my computer on all day or run a server. I use a surge protector but that's it.

A UPS is only necessary if you require very high uptime, for example a server. For a general home or gaming machine a UPS is not necessary.

No. Power where I live is stable and outages rare. UPS is just too expensive.

No... Unfortunately not... I do have triple line filters and 2 surge protectors...

Power is stable and I dont run any of my important servers at home. They are a expensive unnecessary piece of hardware.

Also no, only due to cost at the moment. While power to my house is perfectly fine, I live in an old house with bad electrical.

I was about to post about how bad purolator has been lately and how I would only use UPS from now on.

Now I have no idea whats going on.

No UPS, just a quality surge protector and many sacrificed hamsters, gerbils, or other small fur bearing mammals to the electrical gods when/if the power spikes... :wacko:
