Would this be worth it?

Ok so I have been doing some messing around in Gimp lately and I found this:http://fiverr.com/es3man/design-a-clean-professional-header-or-banner

 

. So I guess my question is: Is this worth trying? Is it just plain worth it? Could I do it(do I have the skill?).

Do it for free, get a good rep, then charge. If you charge people when you have no-one backing you then you'll get no money.

I am doing some stuff for free atm.... And I could use my own stuff on a couple sites I am working on to spread the word. If "word" is the right word to use.
