HELP! i got a new ssd...

I Just got a new ssd and was wondering if there is anyway i can only transfer the windows operating system from my old hard drive to my new ssd. That way i can boot with ssd and use my hard drive for my documents / Data. Please if there is way could you give me a brief tutorial  

SSD= OS
HDD= DATA

 

NOTE: IM HAPPY USING SOFTWARE IF THAT IS AN OPTION.

Remove hard drive. Install windows on ssd put hard drive back in. change boot order.

Plus companies like samsung comes with this migrating software,that company might have one as well

what SSD did you get?

Is there a way to do it with out cloning. That way i can keep my new ssd clear of hidden infections and viruses on it.

Thats great you can use their Data migrating software 

 

And if you are worried about getting all the virus copied as well then its best to do a fresh install

or you can scan your comp with malwarebytes and proper antivirus etc  

 

You can get a W8 iso and burn it in a usb,if you don't have it and want to do a fresh install
