Will the GA-990FXA-UD3 mobo support over clocking well with a FX-6300 and a r9 280 plus 8 gb of ram?

get a CM 212 EVO/Plus cooler

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

It looks to have fairly solid VRM so you should be able to overclock you CPU just fine. Your motherboard doesnt effect how well your GPU overclocks
