Screen Tearing AFTER watching Blu Rays?

MatthewDratt

This is a strange problem and I couldn't find anything on the first few pages of Google, so here it goes.

When I watch a Blu Ray either through PowerDVD or WinDVD, it plays fine. However, after I close the program, I get a ton of artifacts/screen tearing on both of my monitors (one is HDMI, the other is on DVI). Restarting the computer seems to work just fine. However a few times, at startup my PC seems to crash right down, it asks me if I want to boot up a default BIOS (I haven't overclocked anything yet), and then even if I don't reboot my BIOS settings, everything runs fine after that. No idea if the few startup crashes are related or not.

After closing the programs, my video card activity and temps both returns to normal.
