Yes, you can. I don't advise getting 780tis though, with the current pricings the 780 and R9 290 are the way to go (the 290 is cheaper so unless you want physx etc it's a better option).

780ti still outperforms both those options.

True, but it costs almost as much as 2 R9 290s, which would give you 80% more performance. If you absolutely want one card and you think 10% more performance is worth paying almost twice as much for, then go for it, I just don't recommend it.

Well OP is looking at buying two of them so apparently budget is not a concern. Plus when you start getting into max power builds with two or three GPUs that extra 10% is something you will never get if you choose lower and cards.

There's that too I suppose. But, for the price of 2 780tis you can get a 295x2, which has been known to outperform the titan z in a lot of scenarios (at 4k, which I would assume is where sli 780tis would be aimed at) and the titan z has the same gaming capabilities of two 780tis afaik. Or simply 2 290xs (cheaper), they really do shine at very high resolutions. Even if budget is not a problem, throwing away money is never a good thing.

Titan black actually performs better than 780ti despite also having the same amount of unlocked cores.

And two 780tis tend to outperform the 295x2 is most games (without mantle)

The upper "290x" is supposed to have "2x" before it lol its obviously crossfire 290xs
