Realtek audio drivers are used when you have a realtek based sound device. If you don't have a realtek device you do not need the realtek drivers.

If you have a realtek device if you install the software as well as the driver you will get their sound manager. (Basically a pretty interface for audio settings)

So what is the deal with them, should i install them,my sound is working already, but what do these drivers do,is there any sort of benefit from installing them? do they improve sound quality ?

Thanks in advance :)

You get additional features and bug fixes for the most part. Better multichannel support, additional audio postprocessing features and port remapping are some things that you usually get with these drivers.

That's probably the sound processor on your graphics card.

Its possible to have multiple sound devices.

If you're using the HDMI out for audio and it is working, just run the latest Catalyst software.
