Now i will be doing my first build soon and i need to ask some questions.

1. Do you need to have 2 SSD to do Raid 0

2.Since this is my first build should i leave it alone (Just leave it hooked up with its normal preformance)

3.If i were to Raid 0 it, would it have an affect on how long it will last.

Raid0 won't double your speeds.

It depends if the programs you use want to utilize it.

Most don't.

My Raid 0 Speeds, Usually only maxed by benchmarks - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BuMGR9WCQAAfQrM.png:large

Most consumers and their needs,....won't see much benefit from a single SSD to two in Raid0

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

wrong sections sorta i think...

OT:

1. if you're asking if you can have a hard drive and a ssd than I don't think it'll work.

2. depends how much time you're really to put into it.

3. it can, but shouldn't effect the life time too much unless you go extreme; or go with a intet 730 or 540 or whatever type of ssd.

Raid 0 would increase speeds, but not completely double it, and you'll have to get a compatible motherboard that has the RAID features you need or a RAID controller

SSDs are fast enough, so I suggest you leave it alone. SSDs are realiable, but in RAID0 if one drive fails you'll lose *all* your data on both the drives.

Note...

Its simple to backup to a external in case of failure.

Plus you shouldn't have important files in just one location anyways.
