What are your guys' opinion about WASD Keyboards? I am looking at getting one and would like some opinions first :) Thanks everyone!

Meh, would look at something like the Ducky Shine 3 or the k70/k95 RGB when they are released.

I owned a v1 semi custom with blues and have a full custom v2 TKL with blues that I was sent for review (which I still need to do). This was before he had the ability to use UV to make colors.

WASDv2 is a enthusiast board with superior build to those. Also why are people so fixated on LEDs on this forum, especially rgb?

Sorry, some people are entitled to their own opinions and I am just suggesting what I think are good keyboards. People like to have some aesthetics to a keyboard which the RGB and the Ducky easily outperform as for as I am concerned but people don't just like the keyboards for LEDs. Actually owned a V1 and thought it was pretty poor so I went and got my Ducky Shine 3, easiest decision I have ever made.

Yes they are but build quality is not an opinion but something that is measured. LEDs are not the only thing that can be ascetically pleasing. Just a clean looking board can do the same. Also with wasd you can have custom legends in whatever font you want with whatever on each key. Also more recently they have gotten UV Printing so you can do cool stuff like below. The V1 is quality build by costar just like filco and uses the same OEM as the Mionix and the Thermaltake G1 (non meka).

Who are you trying to convince? I honestly couldn't care what you believe is better as you are basically fanboying over one product. That is why people fall behind as they aren't subjugated to change.

I was looking at these keyboards for yes the superior customizability and the tenkeyless factor since I have been unable to find a keyboard that I did like, Is there any tenkeyless, red backlight keyboards that you guys would suggest? Not Ducky if you could, I do know of their great quality but I don't need all the features and functions of it. And all the keys on a Ducky look to cluttered with function indicators.

And I could say the same to you about ducky. The only reason they mad it was because of their LEDs, the cool tricks they can make them do (fun for 5 min), and the fact that they are the only Chinese keyboard company that has a board that doesnt fall apart in your hands. They also picked a good time to enter the scene, when not many other manufactures were offering colored backlighting and mechanical keyboards hadnt been commoditized by the gaming peripheral companies yet. Anther reason they are so popular on this forum is due to Slick.

I will say that they have decent build quality for what they are and have one of the best selection of switches available in a keyboard.

I dont get how you can say "aren't subjugated to change" when WASD offers many features that not other manufacturers do. What im referring to is all the options with the dip switches, legend and keycap options, and now the UV printing. The way the LEDs are implemented is also very clean and a change due to feedback from users.

What I dont get is why you hop into a thread and basically suggest the polar opposite when it comes to keyboards.

Oh and if it matter below is a pic of the keyboard I have been using up until last week as my daily driver.

No red likely as its not a very common back lighting color. Max Keyboards has the only other one on offer from a quick search http://goo.gl/fREO32 .

Anymore thoughts about WASD keyboards?

if you have any specific question let me know and ill try answer them as unfanboy like as possible as apparently im a WASD fanboy. <.<

Sooo pretty. Are those leds different colors or did you mod it with those color changers?

I'm getting something similar in a couple of weeks, but I'm keeping it secret for now since I'll do an unboxing/review of it here later on. I don't think it's very common as I've not seen anything about it anywhere.

EDIT: aha, found a video on it, now I want one for a project... If I can find one that is.

Well you put the LEDs in yourself so I bought teh colors i though would look good. All of them are tinted diffused, yellow, orange, red. The yellow is more orange than I would have liked and the orange more red than I would have liked. In the picture your seeing the yellow and the red.

? I bet I have at least heard of it.

You found a video on a KMAC 2? if so thats kinda odd usually people just post pictures or maybe build logs.
