Hello im wondering what do you suggest to upgrade on my system. My current setup is:

-FX 6100

-m5a99x evo

-HD 7850 2gb

-8gb ram

-840 pro 120gb

-Wd 320gb x2 on raid 0

-Wd 1Tb green x2 no raid

-OCZ fatality 750w.

Ok I have in mind 1 of 3 changes

1-sell mobo+cpu and buy intel stuff eg: i5 4570 + z87 mobo same ram and graphic

2- buy another HD 7850 2gb amd get crossfire

3-sell my FX 6100 and buy a FX 8320

I'm open to other options. Thanks

The cpu is the first thing you should upgrade in this rig. If you have the budget to do so, the i5+z97 motherboard seems like a very good option to me. However, the most wallet friendly would be the 8320. Bare in mind that an i5 4690k will decisively outperform the 8320 in most scenarios, however the 8320 might be enough for your needs. If you are planning to crossfire in the future I suggest the i5 because it won't bottleneck the gpus in any way and it also provides more pcie lanes. You can always crossfire later, there is no hurry ^^

I5+ z97 is the best option, but can't go wrong with a 8320 too. just buy a 8320 which is like 160$ compared to like 400$ for i5 z97.

Yep that's what I was thinking about. What are your thoughts about that i5 Ps: wrote wrong it was z87 mobo

Get an 8320 or 8350. It's nowhere near as worth the price to get a whole new motherboard along with a whole new CPU when you already have a really good AM3 mobo
