Hi everyone,

I am trying to build my first custom pc, and I want to ask about liquid cooling.  It seems cool and all, but I seem to also get this vibe that it is only for extremists who over-clock cpus.  My target is just a reliable pc that can get past the needs of family video server needs, gaming, and lots of pictures for back up from iCloud and Cameras.  With my target stated, is liquid cooling worth investing into?  Or is classic fan the go to choice?  I only ask because I have never seen or used a liquid cooling system, but they seem to be the new rage.  Will I be slapping myself in 4 years from now asking why I didn't?

From,

RWRY

Internal loops like an H80i or H100i are worth getting into if you want to over clock the external big complicated one are for extremists. But if your not over clocking you don't need to liquid cool. But it doesn't hurt.

You can easily overclock on Air. And if he is new and doesn't need higher performance there is no point of mentioning it now.
