Modmic 4.0 Static Problem

Today I received the Modmic 4.0 and it sounds absolutely horrible. There is a TON of static even when there are no sounds at all. I already turned on noise suppression in the microphone properties but I don't know what else to do. I have tried multiple jacks and multiple computers but still the same outcome. It sounds nothing like it did in Linus' video, does anyone know what to do? Thanks...
