Wireless AC auto?

Running a Asus RT-AC68U. Using my Samsung Note 3. Both have wireless AC function. I'm connected to the 5ghz frequency.

Is the AC default on both devices over the wireless N?

AC and wireless N are both used simultaneously

So ac will be automatic when connected to the 5ghz?
