can't decide ?

Go to solution Solved by Thorium19,

For £240, either an R9 280X or the GTX 770 is the best choice. If you're playing at 1080p, get the gtx 770, if you're playing at higher resolutions get the R9 280X.

Hello i am building a new build. (for gaming)

I can't decide between the nvidia

gtx 770 2 gb from evga

or the

gtx 760 4gb rog from asus

which will give me better in game performance and my budget is around 240 pounds, i wouldn't mind going amd if that gives me better performance or should i wait till a new generation of graphic cards are out.

Thank you for replying (if you do)  :D

770, 4gb of vram is pointless on a 760 since it cant really utilize it

both asus and gigabyte are solid brands, The difference will be that the gigabyte card will be bigger but also quietter and perhaps a bit cooler. I would pick amd for these "mid to high end" cards because they are both cheaper and faster since recent price cut and have more vram.
