I'm looking to buy a ~500 gigabyte SSD, and i was wondering which of these two makes more sense to purchase.

The venerable Crucial MX100

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-148-821

It's $215 dollars, and you get eggpoints. I have no idea what eggpoints are worth, but it's apparently store credit.

Or the Corsair force LX

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233686&cm_re=corsair_force_lx-_-20-233-686-_-Product

It's $230, and It's from corsair, a brand I'd personally trust more than Crucial, but other than that, the only particularly attractive part is the aesthetic.

It's also a hair faster

I'm trying to save as much money as possible, and i'm open to recommendations, but seeing as i don't know too much about SSDs, which of those two be better? The $15 price difference is negligible, and i'm not averse to paying it if the corsair drive is what's more recommendable.

Thanks in advance, guys

Edit: Forgot the MX100 link

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Go for the crucial. Very good ssd, trustworthy company (part of micron) and it's a really well performing drive.
