SSD Choice

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

I'm looking at getting an ssd in my build that I am currently saving up for. I have had a look at a couple of options but i'm not sure what to get. So i would welcome any suggestions. My budget for the ssd is £90 but I don't mind spending a little more

The MX100 series SSD's are quite good, quite cheap and have very good $/Gb ratio.

I'm reluctant with kingston SSD's. Heard of quite a few failures, really slow and generally not that good. Crucial MX100 is really good though, never heard errors from that line (I use one myself in this laptop and it is really quite good).

oh right, never hear of any problems with them I just thought it was a good price, in that case then yeah, I would go for the MX100 as I know they are also very good.

Well, it IS a good price. If you've never had problems with kingston then I say go kingston. However I find that crucial is better quality and that justifies the 5 pound difference.

Edit: Also mine is 16GB bigger. THAT 16GB WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE.

As above, the crucial MX100 is great, £150 will get you 512 GB, and it has speed similar to an 840 evo.
