new build, help ?

Hello everyone,

so to start with, i build my first PC quite a while ago and decided to upgrade some of the parts (case, gpu, and add some leds)
i went from thermal take tsunami dream to zalman z11 plus and from radeon HD5850 (ref) to Asus R9 270x dciiT and after few months i decided to upgrade again, BUT
to higher end parts, so again i thought i want watercooling i love the look of Corsair H100i but unfortunately the zalman case is no compatible with this cooling without modding but even with the mod it looks bad,
so i told myself lets build *new pc. and here is the help that i need, i need peoples opinion.

my current build.

case: Zalman Z11 plus
mobo: Asus M5A97pro
CPU: AMD phenom II x6 1100t

CPU cooling: Scythe mugen 4 (i think)
RAM: gskill sniper 8GB 1600
GPU: Asus R9 270x DCIITop
PSU: Xigmatek 700w Tauro
Monitor: 23" ViewSonic VP231wb (1920:1200)(back 7 years ago it was worth around 3,000$  but now it sucks performance wise)

and i would like to build

case: NZXT h440 (green)
GPU: XFX R9 290 DD
CPU: AMD FX8350 (not sure if worth upgrading from old one)
CPU cooling: Corsair H100i (pushpull cfg.)
RAM: not sure if worth upgrading if so then some Corsair 8-16gb
mobo: if not upgrading cpu then i dont think mobo upgrade is needed but if so im stuck somewhere between Asus sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and Asus Crosshair IV formula (any suggestions?)
PSU: should i upgrade or not ? this is the questions is 700w enough ?
Monitor: 27" Asus VG278HE HD 144hz or a 27" BenQ XL2720Z (which one is better option)

so guys, is it worth it ? please help.

ps. im new to the forum sorry if it is in the wrong department, and also sorry for my English.

Thanks Alot ! :)

GPU: XFX R9 290 Case: NZXT H440 (green) CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1100t CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i RAM: GSkill Sniper 8Gb 1600 MoBo: Asus M5A97pro Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-fi Fatal1ty Pro gamers edition PSU: Xigmatek Tauro 700w Headphones: Creative Sound Blaster 3D Tactic Rage Keyboard: Razer Deathstalker Mouse: Razer Ouroboros Speakers: Logitech Z5500 Monitor: Asus VG278HE 27" 144hz

push pull will not improve performance by alot. Go with SP120s on pull. You don't need to upgrade the ram. 700w is enough. If your budget is big enough upgrade to the 8320. I'd go with the formula if i were you, depends on your budget. Don't "waste" money like i did for an overclockable mobo and then not buy an overclockable cpu(It was on sale and i didn't want to wait for another month for the devils canyon :D. I'll porb upgrade to broadwell if it's any better and if i have the money at that time.)

CPU: I7 4790 @ 4GHz /w Cooler Master Hyper 412S | MOBO: ASUS Z97 PRO | GPU: Gigabyte gtx 780 OC | RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB @ 1866MHz | PSU: Corsair RM850 | SSD Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB | HDD: WD Blue 1TB 7000rpm | CASE: Phanteks Enthoo Pro | MONITOR: Samsung S24D300 | KEYBOARD: CMStorm Devastator | MOUSE: Logitech G500s | MOUSE#2: Logitech M500| HEADSET: Logitech G230 | SPEAKERS: Logitech Z313 2.1  | Phone: Galaxy Note II

Thanks for the reply huskey,
to be clear i wanted push pull config because the NZXT h440 case is not very well ventilated, so i thought it would be better option to go push pull with SP120 push and some other fan on pull (revoltec fans just cause i have 2) and mount the radiator at the front of the case rather than on top, if that makes sense(?).

thanks again :)

You can check Linus's video on push pull. You're better off with 2 SP120s because they're pressure optimized. Why wouldn't it make sense? :P I'll do a 240/280 rad in the front when i buy a new case.
