Hello.

I've noticed my Windforce GTX 780 idles at 50°C. Voltage is 0.900V at idle. It's currently on stock. My airflow is decent, i have 1 intake 2 exhaust atm, case: Zalman Z11 Plus(will upgrade to a ARC Midi r2 soon). If anyone has a solution it would be much apriciated. My ambient room temps are ~25°C MAX.

Thank you.

In this review the PSU reached like 46 degrees, so I dont think yours is that bad

Can you flip your PSU so that it intakes from the bottom? the PSU should not be exhausting hot are INTO the pc, it should be exhausting out the back

Also a GPU at 50 degrees while hot, is perfectly fine

Well my PSU is turned upside down and the fan is exhausting it at the back(i've put a case fan at the back of it because the psu one doesn't turn on). I've heard that 50°C is normal i just had to be sure :D

50C at idle is a bit high but what are you load temperatures? Also, does the GPU make a sort of chirping noise?  Could be a defective cooler or bad case air flow. Have you checked with Gigabyte to see if this is normal?

how many screen do you have connected because my T9 280xs get to 45c idling with 4 screens connected and 30 with just one

Only 1 screen

Load never goes above 70°C when playing games at ultra. And no the GPU is pretty much silent. It's also clean from dust. Air flow is decent but will be improved once i get some new fans. Going for noctua or AF120s

Then i believe all is how it should be. If load temperatures were like high eighties or in the nineties, i would worry.

make a custom fan curve if you're worried about the temps set the idle speed of the fans to 30% and see if it cools down

I've put the fan speed to 45% and the temps wen't down to 46°C. Once i get some high quality fans i'll report back :)

Well it apears it was Chrome causing high temps. I saw the post Linus posted about Chrome using high resources some time ago and it apears it's true. When using Firefox my idle temps are ~34°C.

Idle temp for my titan with 3 monitors is 37 with stock cooler and 31 with acx cooler. The only way my card can reach 50 is while gaming. Chrome was causing that problem for me too, just not that severally. Just stopped all of a sudden.
