western digital my cloud wont run from PC (java probs?)

so I have a N900 central from WD. Its a router with a 2TB HDD in it I can use for cloud backups. I have it broadcasting a wifi signal, and I can remote connect with my phone to both the network as well as the "my cloud" software, but when I try to connect with my pc to the cloud the attached image error messages pops up. when I hit "run" I get the other error message. then the page dies in chrome. any ideas? I think it might be a Java thing, but I am running the latest Java update

Hello there, it really seems like it's something Java related. Have you by any chance updated the Java just before the issue started? Anyway, to find a way around it you could try adding the url listed under “Location” on the “Application cannot be run” error you got to the Java Exception Site List. Is should be in Control Panel → Java → Security → Edit Site List. You will see that there is almost the same url already in there, only with https:// xxxxx... instead of http://xxxxx..., so add the http://xxxx... one.
