Hey guys this is a repost, sorry. I posted it really late at night so I thought I would try now.

So long story short I'm putting the parts together for a PC. The PC will be used for Office Suite stuff and I'm not sure if it will be used for anything else. I don't think he wants to go AMD, even though I would suggest an APU for this use. He will likely want to go with this build for 6 years or so, so I tried to make it lasting and reliable parts. I'd like to see what you guys think. I plan on only having one drive in there, just because I'm not sure if he knows how to choose what drive to put something on.

Also that mobo looks a bit long, I think it would fit with the PSU, but it looks close. Any thoughts?

Also is there any good way to get the pictures and stuff from the old computer to this new one without a separate HDD?

You could just plug the old HDD into the new computer when it's built (Given it's not IDE, otherwise you'll need an adapter). Than transfer the things from his personal folder. What i usually do is just plop the entire personal folder onto their desktop.

Ah I have had some trouble throwing HDDs into separate PCs in the past, wasn't sure about it. I wasn't able to just use my HDD normally when I replaced my mobo.

400w PSU would be enough.

Definitely get an SSD, will 100% notice it for day to day tasks.

Get 1600 or better RAM, as he will be using onboard Graphics. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f312800cl9d8gbsr for example would work.

CPU is extremely OP for office work. Could go with the most entry level i5, and most i3's would even do the trick. You are correct to recommend an APU!

Yeah, that motherboard will fit fine, but, Might consider a cheaper mATX, just because that's all he needs.

Yes I know, even a 350w would be enough but he is uncomfortable going lower.

I know.

I accidentally posted the wrong build, the current ones have g.skill sniper 1600mhz cl9.

He will probably want to go with this PC for 6+ years. Please read everything I said, in the first paragraph I said " I don't think he wants to go AMD, even though I would suggest an APU for this use"

I have done hundreds of builds, I'm not stupid. I was seeing if anybody could make it cheaper without harming performance.
