I have some money i want a nice nvidia graphics card cause i am kinda goin overkill on a pc i am getting for free it is a 2006 dell desktop with a pentium D at 2.8 ghz and i think i wanna put a 750ti am i crazy genius or just plain stupid

 

do u guys think i should do this or just am i being stupid also if u could end me a link to a cheap nvidia gpu that is decent that would be great

I don't see how putting a 750 Ti in it could be considered crazy, it's designed to be put into systems like that. It's also the cheapest Nvidia GPU that's worth a damn in games.

pentium d dual core 2.8 ghz 4 gigabytes of ram windows 7 32 bit have no clu what motherboard an intel one and a 450 watt power supply

yeah right now i have a laptop with a nvidia 755m which is still good i mean i run battlefield 3 on high 1080p and get almost 50 frames so my laptop isnt that bad but i want to do this as a fun project

use Specy to verify the mobo

 

generally the GTX750/Ti will be a good GPU upgrade

 

 

but I seriously get a new PC

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

btw i have no idea what the mother board is i am getting the pc in a week its an old 2006 intel board
