Why did you get that cpu only to really gimp the gpu?

-Get an 500 W PSU.

-Get an 750ti or 760.

-Get an SSD (just for the OS).

-Less expensive CPU (some AMD six core).

This. Except maybe stay 8 core, the 8320 saves a bit I believe. Higher wattage power supplies are fine, PSUs are most efficient at 50% load anyway.

You should be able to find a 280x for not much more than your current card, especially if you go to a lower CPU.

What are those adapters and splitters for?

I have an old monitor only with a VGA port. This new monitor is the same.

I would suggest an FX-8320 on an Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard. The motherboard will allow for better overclocking and by all accounts there should be no trouble getting an FX-8320 up to FX-8350 speeds. I would also suggest a CX-600M psu. 750W is simply far more than needed. These changes do not affect the overall cost.

An ssd would be a great addition to the build. As would an IPS monitor.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
