Hello! I bought an Adata XPG SX900 about 1.5 years ago. I have no problems with the reads or writes, but the boot time is just awful. It takes 1 minute and 8 seconds from pressing the power button to the login screen. It is slower than my dad's 840 pro by a lot. And he only has Sata 2! It is what I would expect from something like a 7200rpm or 5400rpm hard drive. What happens is the bios screen goes by, the Windows logo goes up, and then it hangs on a black screen for about 40 seconds. Then it lets me enter a password. I would really appreciate any help anyone could offer.

I have windows 7.

What are your startup processes under task manager? I can't imagine anything would take 40 seconds though...

I have cleaned out quite a few, but my startup processes are: Realtek HD audio manager, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Nvidia GeForce experience(yes it's there twice), LogMeIn, Bitdefender 2014, ElementsAutoanalyzer, Google Drive, Bitdefender 2014, Bitdefender 2014, Bitdefender 2014, Razer Comms, f.lux, Google Chrome, Razer Synapse, ScrewDriver RDP plugin, Citrix ICA client, Quicktime, and Dropbox. Yes, a few could have been removed but I keep them for convenience. I accept it being 10 seconds slower, but not this much.

Don't worry about your computer, it's much better than what I built my first try.

anyway, are you sure that you have it set as your boot drive?

Also, the 760 I bought about 4 months ago. Before that I had a 550ti. It was bad(for the price) then.
