Samsung Data Migration Software

Humble Bee

I have bought myself a new laptop ready for school. I bought a Samsung 840 evo SSD to put in my laptop to speed up boot times.

I want to use Samsung migration magician to transfer the Windows licence to my SSD.

Will using the migration software erase the data from the original drive? As I want to keep the data on the original HDD in case I ever need to send the laptop in for warranty repair.

I'm new to Samsung's data migration software and just want to make sure the data wont be erased from the original HDD.

Thanks in Advance

If only we all could afford 8 SSD's in Raid 0

Cheers, I just wanted to make sure :) I know it was a bit of a silly question :P

But I have never used this kind of software before.
