Need help with new ram

Hey everyone I'm new at this and I'm having some trouble. I recently bought a new kit of ram, it's an 8gb kit, HyperX Fury ddr3-1333 CL9 240-pin UDIMM kit. The problem is that whenever I put it in and turn it on it doesn't do anything the computer still runs, it doesn't beep, and it doesn't give me an image on the screen. I really need some advice on why it isn't running. My motherboard is an msi G41M-P23.

cpu? Did you plug in to the moniter? Lack of power could be?
