I am going to make a crazy build soon 'Golden Harbinger' and I am modding the whole build and I was wondering how to I get sponsors for that build such as Nvidia for the GPU OR XSPC for the rads so I can mod and paint them?

they're not going to send some random guy on the internet free parts for a build.

Well you need to show you're different from the rest of the community. Be known amongst a wide community.

You can always ask for it but you need to show proof of your work etc.

Please become a member of the Linus Tech Tips forum, keep writing smug remarks & let us love you. Peace out.

So you're basically asking how to get big companies to send you free stuff? Good luck with that. Just buy it. You aren't going to get stuff for free for no reason.

Unless you are a review website then it is going to be difficult. Maybe ask Linus ?  :D

So far from the truth.

The thing is you have to offer them something in return. If you already have a following because of past top-notch mods you should be pretty good to go just by sending your portfolio / press kit, however it doesn't sound like you have come this far. If you don't have anything to show for yourself why should they hand you parts? It's also much more likely to be sponsored by local hardware stores like Newegg and similar, not manufacturers and most definitely not top level like Intel, NVIDIA etc.

Ok Guys I spelt Sponsors wrongly don't get your nickers in a twist. What i'll do first is for this build I'll buy all the parts and build the PC then I'll show it to the manufactures and see what they think. Am I right?

http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2007/11/20/hitchhiker_guide_to_mod_sponsorship/1 this seems to be the general outline that most people point to when this question comes up.

Put simply every man and their dog would like free parts for their builds but its up to you to give the companies a compelling reason to spend their sponsorship budget on you above the thousands of other people asking. Also while people here pointing out your grammatical errors might seem a bit harsh, when you go to these companies little things like that will make a big difference as to how seriously they will take you (things like 'wrongly' and capitalising 'Guys' and 'Sponsors' mid sentence as well), think of it like a job interview/application.

Ok thanks, I'll look over that thread on bit-tech and also I'll build 'Golden Harbinger' with my own money and show it to the companies to see if it's worth them investing into some of my other builds.
