So if it says visual compatibility, does that mean its guaranteed to fit?

Yup, according to the compatibility checker the XFX 290X DD uses a reference PCB. That waterblock works with the reference PCB.

Thanks, and what does Acetal and nickel mean? I'm new to GPU liquid cooling.

It means the waterblock top cover is made from POM acetal (black) while the waterblock itself is copper with nickel plating that better protects the copper against water corrosion.

Great! Thanks. Is it safe to run Brass, copper, and nickel in the same loop?

Yeah. Pretty much unavoidable nowadays too. As most rads have brass and copper. Aluminum is the one material you should avoid.

One more question, what does original CSQ mean on EK's website?

It's just a marketing term. Probably one of the cheesiest things EK has done. It stands for Circle SQuare design.

Will getting just the copper block make a difference compared to the nickel?

The nickel plating will keep your waterblocks looking better longer, but you can clean your waterblocks so it's up to you.
