You used to be able todo that but I don't know if you still can. and I believe in that video what he had said was you couldn't use SLI and Crossfire at the same time(or rather you couldn't crossfire 290x with 780 kind of thing)

I think it he said specifically that you can only use either crossfire or SLI and not both at the same time.

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

Yeah I don't particularly know you see I build computers for money and what people want unless it's outrageous or soemthing I usually just build take my money and leave and Iknow I've had 3 separate customers ask me to throw in weak like 750tis in with like 280x and 290s and their idea was for switching to CUDA for CUDA only programs and PhysX when gaming  which I don't get as I personally dislike PhysX and disable it most of the time when its even an option which is rare as the req of Nvidia cards and specific games.... I just find it to slightly lower frame rate for something you don't even notice xD

Each of these slightly hint that yeah a PhysX card can work separately of eachother after just doing a random google search(funnily enough both are LTT)

Slightly hint, why is stuff like this always uncertain?

PhysX is like that for many games, which is sad as its true potential could be so much more. Borderlands 2 and Metro Last Light did a pretty nice job of using PhysX, but PhysX is still wasted as it isn't even used to simulate real time destructible objects. Honestly even Unreal Engine 4's demo was a mundane demonstration however beautiful it may have been.

Mostly cause it's down to user to actually set this stuff up and plus it's also something that varies from OS to OS, Card Combo to Card Combo, and Driver to driver xD in the world of PC there isn't usually a definitive.

I still have disdain for PhysX .-. you can say it's never been properly used but should a proprietary thing ever be the main focus of a game? I mean how much backlash would there be if a game was Nvidia exclusive gamers already have issues enough with Console exclusives xD imagine if there started becoming Nvidia and AMD and even INTEL exclusives it'd raise all hell and would only harm PC gaming as a whole it'd push some PC gamers to Console gaming and shy out people who were thinking of switching to PC... Things like PhysX should be more like sprinkles on Ice Cream something that doesn't make too big of a difference but when it's there it's a nice touch like a pretty bow on a gift :P however if it were to be come unproprietary then it should see wide spread adoption simply for the reason of why not at that point but Nvidia would never actually be friendly xD

I don't no why it took me this long to quote this, I suppose it got buried under a pile of notifications. Anyways I totally agree about the ridiculous features being proprietary, but you're also right about Nvidia never going to be that friendly. However take it from my perspective for a moment, I want to develop with it, but I don't have a choice at all.

Yeah go for it I just hate fanboyism specially when it spreads some nasty rumors... and Yeah I've said thebefore infact I once met an Nvidia rep and even he said his company is pretty damn dickish the way they operate... but it's also business. So I can't totally blame them for everything but some of the stuff is down right retarded like they're supposedly soon in an upcoming driver disabling the ability to use PhysX when AMD hardware PhysX and GSync stop working...

Yeah I heard about that and that's just, well the technical term is "a dick move." Honestly I've kinda lost it as for the corporate structure for Nvidia but I just happen to love their stuff. Shoulda went with Cryengine over UE4, then I wouldn't be so tempted with this native support for PhysX stuff.

I don't think I've ever agreed with something as much as that first sentence; And yeah they're starting to become the new microsoft.

The DCUII cooler was literally ripped off the 780Ti and put on the 290x. It doesn't make contact properly with the VRM's causing overheating problems.

In case I missed it in another post, and sorry if I did, but where did you hear that from? O_o any link? Id like to read up on this myself. As for Amd vs. Nvidia, both have worked for me except for some minor AMD driver issues with older CrossFire cards. Pretty sure they fixed that by now. R9 290 is the sweetspot for hi res gaming atm I believe. Used 290 mining cards can be found for as low as $250 on FleaBay. Whether you want a mined card is up to you :P

Well at least there are still communities like Blender and Valve.
