I would go with the Corsair 1500V2 headset and internal souncards have proven to not be as effective as people think they are so your onboard audio will be fine for it

no need for sound cards these days man. I have the Corsair Vengeance 1500V2 and the mic's great and so is the sound. I highly recommend it at its price range.

External audio interfaces are better than internal by a mile. If you want something that will upgrade your audio experience then get one of those.

EDIT: Get a professional one if you are going to go over 100$

If you are willing to spend the money i would recommend getting the SteelSeries H Wireless Gaming Headset, they are an amazing wireless gaming headset and it definitely worth the money.

Also i wouldn't invest money on an internal sound card, if you are wanting something better than on-board audio i would look into getting an external amp/dac such as the mayflower Objective2 + ODAC Combo.

If you're getting a good pair of headphones, then get a soundcard! I can't stress it enough, it really did change my everyday experience. I have the Creative Soundblaster Z

Do you need the 7.1 surround? Otherwise I would check out the HyperX Cloud, I just ordered one. Haven't got it yet, but the reviews are very good.

Do yourself a favor and buy Sennheiser for instance.

 

Sound of these, so called gaming headsets is bass heavy and terrible. You are paying a fortune for a tag "gaming headset."

 

I do personally own Razer Megalodon gaming headset and I deeply regret buying it. If I were you, I would buy quality headphones + desktop mic. But if you truly want headset, then go with Sennheiser.
