Alright guys I am having a bit of a problem. I recently bought a LG's 34um95 and decided what the heck lets splurge a bit and make this already massive display bigger. So what did I do? I added 2 Asus PB278Q and put them on either side. Most people would consider this massive over kill but I sit a few feet back from my monitors and they fill my FOV nicely. I went to go set up surround and it easily recognized the three moniors and took me through the steps of setting them up. However when I go to set a resolution the highest I get is 5760x1080. When I set "Activate all displays"  they all return to their 1440p resolutions. The 1080p surround looks terrible. Normally I would blame this on the fact that I have a higher resolution center monitor, but before this setup I ran a 29" Ultrawide in a slightly smaller surround setup, and that looked gorgeous. Please help me guys I really want to play games on 1440p surround.

I am running two evga gtx geforce 780tis in SLI.

As for cables

34um95 using DP1.2 to primary card DP

PB278Q(left) using DP1.2 to primary card HDMI

PB278Q(right) using DVI to secondary card HDMI

I am running two evga gtx geforce 780tis in SLI.

And just to clarify, I have ran 2560x1080 center and 1920x1080 sides and it worked great, so I'm hoping I can get that to work just in 1440p.

Your pushing a ton of pixels... I doubt even dual 780ti's could run that at acceptable FPS...

I would stay with 1080p if you can stand it.

My best guess for your issue would be to try setting a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel. See if that works.

I'm not sure whether the PB278Q has support for HDMI 1.3/4 or 2.0 however I do believe the PB278QR now does.

Wait a minute.......you're mathematics for the resolution is incorrect isn't it!

Main monitor 3440x1440 with the two side monitors to the left & right of the LG 34UM95 1440p

Maybe it's a problem with running from the different display interfaces. HDMI from the original PB278Q was limited.

In all honesty I was really shooting for 7560x1440 resolution for surround gaming. If I really needed to I would be able to set in game resolution to 3440x1440 to match the center monitors native, thus it would still be configured to surround but only running on one screen. I built this setup in response to linus' 1440 eyefinity setup, and was hoping for the same result. As he was running a r9 295x2 and the 780ti sli has similar performance I would be willing to run on medium settings if need be. On to the comment from kingsley, I assume that your comment "Wait a minute.......you're mathematics for the resolution is incorrect isn't it!" is directed to the fact that the horizontal resolution would end up being 8560 rather than 1440p surround's 7560. That's so insanely mild stretching compared to the 5760 I am getting now. Also back when i was running 1080p surround the resolution came out to more than standard 1080p surround because of the ultra-wide center. As for your comment on display interfaces, I didn't quite understand what you meant. If you could restate what you were trying to say, it would be greatly appreciated.

One thing I do find curious, is that when I switch from surround to "activate all displays" in the control panel one the displays always shows up as standard HD afterwards. It seems random sometimes I have seen all monitors at least once use that resolution just after switching. I just set it to native and 1440p goodness fills the screen. What I am wondering is for some reason nvidia thinks a monitor is only 1080p and that is why 1440 surround is not appearing. I can't figure out for the life of me why that would be, I have had these monitors for 2 days and I haven't played a game for more than a few seconds because of this. O.o

Alright, well I guess that is it. The worst part about this problem is that for a split second after i enable surround, all 3 monitors pop up as 1440p surround, it looks perfect. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then it scales it to 1080p and looks worse than 240p on a Youtube video. 8/ guess I need to find the boxes for my 780s. Thanks.
