I need help installing Memory! (yes really)

Don't worry I'm not a complete PC noob and I know how to install it I just don't know how to set it up. I just bought an extra 16gb of ram to help render video's and after I installed the new memory I was told to change something in the BOIS. also when I go to my PC hardware it show's that 32gb is installed yet only 16gb is usable (what I had before). My main problem is that I don't know how or where in the BOIS to set it up under. Thanks for helping me out if you do  :)

If you are a pc noob I have to ask why you bought 32gb of ram in the first place? If you have someone "helping" with your pc decisions and your upgrade decisions you shouldn't be listening to that person. If you just bought it for reasons unknown to yourself well...i guess stuff happens..
