I ordered feser base when I first build my loop... And now after I re-did my loop, I used the rest of my feser base... But it made the water extremely cloudy

If I turn off the pump, it clears up, but it all comes back as soon as I turn it back on...

Is it even needed?

Or can I just use my distilled water?

I have in both of my custom loops distilled water only (bought at walmart for under 1 dollar a gallon) and use a silver kill coil in each res. I have been running my GPU loop for 9 months and had no issues at all. The only reason why I drained it was a new radiator and second GPU in SLI.

I am doing watercooling for a long time already and had never issues with distilled water and silver kill coils... unless you have got aluminum parts in the loop, but that won´t happen in my loops ;) .

Edit: Also cleaning is easy. I warm up some water with vinegar (75% to 25% ratio) and put all tubes fittings rads in it. Then I flush all the parts will distilled water and then they are good to use again.

Okay thanks :) I don't think I have any aluminum in my loop so I think I am good :)

draining my loop is the hardest part haha

Yeah I know that always a pain hehe... my Corsair 900d is soo heavy. Even with a drain port it´s a torture... Lucky me that I bought the Phobya 1080 NOVA external radiator and use it with quick connectors in my GPU loop... hopefully next time I drain my loop it´ll be easier :D ... but the CPU loop will stay the same torture... noooo :D .

I want to get a pump top that has 3 holes so I can have one for a drain port with a quick disconnect

Yeah makes sense, there are nice pump/res combos out there and this makes it a lot more comfortable.

Yeah... Being the kinda person I was when I built this rig

(OMG NEED ALL TEH LIGHTS)

I got the frozenQ liquid fusion and it looks cool, but it was not worth the money and I know there are better options haha
