Everyone seems to be talking about the korean market when it comes to high resolution + ips + 120Hz. Is there any brand or retailer that can supply these with good level of service and guarantee? Also, how come that no mainstream brand has come up with their own if the technology is available? :( I have read about the Overlord Tempest, but it seems like that's lottery.

Only the Temptest Overlord X270OC has a US company that backs it.

1440p @ 120Hz is an incredibly niche market as you would need a really High end setup to have that FPS at that resolution, heck at 1080p @ 120Hz even an R9 290 is barely able to push at 120Hz.

There is also no demand for mass market for companies to put huge money into R&D to develop, test, validate and mass produce these kinds of specific panels.

Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.
