Waterblock Material

What material is best for performance in a water block for CPU and GPU.

Also what is the best material for rad fins.

Thanks :)

just avoid aluminium at all costs,

nickel plated will last the longest

brass / copper fins are the best

Copper or Silver are the most practical.

Aluminum performs well but does not play with other metals, including copper.

For cost v performance,Copper is the normal choice.

I have for all my heatsink Nickel plated Copper from EK waterblocks. And all my radiators (EK, Phobya) are Copper. In order to be able to use my fluid for a while I use a single silver kill coil (not there´s no corrosion t all what so ever, I am doing watercooling already for a long time) but you can always get a fluid that comes with Anti corrosion.

Nickel plated EK waterblocks (still copper on the inside). Copper fin rads, Alphacool.
