So, GPU #1 is the Gigabyte GTX 780 Windforce 3X OC 3GB and GPU #2 is the Inno3D GTX 780 iChill HerculeZ ULTRA 6GB.

The price difference is ~50 in GBP which is not much money.

What are your opinions, suggestions?

What resolution will you be playing at?

For 1440p and under, get the 3gb. For stuff like 5760x1080 or 4K, get the 6gb.

get the iChill for such a small price difference. if you could get the iChill at 3GB for same price as Windforce, even better.

that cooler is sick looking, and supposedly works well.

Yea, small difference but benchmarks show it has 1k higher 3D Score, better FPS, and also more VRAM. I might not need it for now, but the difference isnt that big and its a hell of a lot more powerful. iChill cooler's better than Gigabyte ones, however both are brilliant. Based upon reviews.

I am not intending to watercool my GPU or my system, thats just waaaaaay over the budget for a 17 year old.

Just want a very high-end setup that maxes every game on 60+ FPS, hence I will get this or something similar.

A high end setup that can max out games @ 60fps will also be out of reach then.

Just so you know, that won't max out EVERY games at 60FPS unfortunately, nowhere near...

So you are saying that an i5 4690K / i7 4790K with a GTX 780 that has a 780 Ti like performance wont max out games? Tell me more >_>

I meant that I want to play games at nearly their max graphics for 1-2 years or so without upgrading... if this GPU does 70+ FPS in Crysis 3 Ultra, I am convinced it will work well with other future games for a while..

Crysis 3, metro last light, far cry 3, watchdogs, all those games won't get solid 60FPS with maxed out settings (Ultra) and neither will many future games be maxed out on this, sorry.

Well, according to benchmarks with an i7 4770K system and the normal GTX 780, the average FPS was over 60 at Ultra.. that wasnt even on 1920 x 1080.

For instance, just this example.

Most games will run at 60FPS on very high settings @ 1080P. Also the Inno3D 780 3GB gpu is nearly as fast as a 780 ti out of the box.

Thanks for the confirmation. Im not entirely sure why it couldnt run the new games on their best details? >_>

A R9 280X or a GTX 770 would even perform very well at 1080P. That Inno3D is a beast, but stick with the 3GB version. You don't need 6GB Vram for 1080P unless you are running multiple monitors.

Yea, but the price difference is so small that I might as well go for it.

Yeah, 3GB even at 1080p is only going to be adequate for so long.

3GB is a lot, yes, but if I can get a better GPU with 6 GB, why not for this small price I say.

You said the new games wont run at Ultra at 60 FPS, and it does... so BF4 is a pretty new game, and its on ultra.. and is at 70+ FPS?

Hmm, well FC3 still runs at 90+ FPS, Crysis 3 at 61+, so you are partly right. I am convinced that it is a beast GPU that will chew through games like charm.  B)

it is indeed a beast of a gpu. running games at 4xMSAA only will allow constant 60fps on ultra in MOST games!
