No one can tell if the CF scaling is better or worse that SLI because it is too complicated and there just are too many variables.

CF gets higher framerates than nvidia SLI therefore CFX scales better. Read the reviews on SLI GTX 780ti vs CFX R9 290x and see who the winner is overall.

For rendering a decent cpu makes more sense.

 

For the rest alot of ansewrs allready given here.

I think maybe a GTX780 sli could be something to concider, because of blender.

But the rendering diffrence won´t be that big between the 770 and 780.

Because it mostly depends on your cpu.
