so ive been putting a really basic system together for my neice the last few days basically parts that im not using anymore majority havent been used in over a year.

so the problem i have is its quite slow to post i can get into the bios set boot prioritys and such the main part that goes wrong is when i am trying to instally windows 7 whether i use an internal optical drive, external drive or a usb after ive set the boot priority i get a flashing underscore for about 5 seconds then a message saysing hardware has been changed please re install windows under that it says boot selection failed because recuired device is inaccessable.

also there is a status code as follows:0xc000000f if thats any help

parts im using are as follows:

Asus: P8H61-MLE motherboard

Intel: I3 2100 CPU (yes this cpu is compatible because its the origional one i bought for it)

Kingston HyperX RAM 8GB 1600MHZ kit

MSI GTX 470 GPU

Kingston 60GB SSD (AHCI Mode has already been set)

Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD

So thats the major parts andy info would be greatly appreciated as ive googled and there seems to be many topics about this problem but nuone to my situation.

try unplugging everything that is unneccessary stuff all along, often helps.

Just for making sure its not a hardware malfunction try installing some linux.

You can download an image everywhere for free. Burn it on a dvd and try installing.

I hope you have another PC :D
