BSOD with sli

i get BSOD when i click apply on maximize 3D performance in nvidia control panel. anyone got a clue how to fix it?

i have two gtx 780 asus

i7-3820 3.6GHz

1000w psu

16 G ram

asus motherboard p9x79 pro

and i have tested older drivers and reinstall windows and a clean driver install

you should really put all your system specs in post like this or no one can help you. and all the stuff you have already tried.

 

going off the little info you did give. id try an older driver.

Usually if there are any apps that make use of the gpu like google chrome for example it will tell you to disable it so you can enable/disable SLI. It probably fails to see such apps so try to kill a few processes. If there are any apps like chrome up and you force to disable or disable SLI it will bsod.

tested that still get the bsod

What brand and model number of PSU do you have?

Corsair RM1000, 1000W PSU ATX 12V V2.4, 80 Plus Gold, Modular, 8x 6+2-pin PCIe, 12x SATA, 11x Molex, 2x FD

Try downloading the newest available driver. Uninstall the old drivers. Restart. Install the new driver, but make sure you select "Clean Installation" when prompted to do so.

i have tested that with the newest and the oldest drivers did not work

Have you tried the cards separately? To eliminate possible hardware issues. 

 

Also, try updating the Bios on your motherboard first.
