100% load when there is no load

Doing some normal bench marking with the Unigine tools. After I stop I take a look at GPU-Z and it still says 100%. What the hell is happening?

 

The clocks reset when I restart the computer but that's just tedious.

Exactly. There might be some BC Miner or other malware usng your GPU for malicious purposes.

Nope. I said this only happens after Heaven or whatever.

I thought with "The clocks reset when I restart the computer but that's just tedious." you meant your system time clock resets every time when you reboot. My bad.

 

In that case: does the card still stay hot and does the fan still keep blowing a lot of air? If so, it's still busy. Probably some benchmark process getting stuck in a loop. If not, I'd write this off as a weird glitch.

I had similar shit today and this was the culprit. 100% gpu usage only happened after i ran any game. Your mileage may vary.
