Morning/evening to you all. Could someone please put a price to my old computer?
i5 2300

4gb drr3 ram

gtx 550ti 1gb

2x250gb hitachi hdd (no raid or anything)

dvd drive (just your normal 20 speed read write ones)

Windows 8 professional 64bit

Acer aspire m3970

generic case and 500w psu (been running fine for years)

 

anad it has a blue LED fan which adds 10 fps

 

And if it matters, i lkive in the land down under (STRAYA or australia)

Oh right.... It's not a K edition. I'm tempted to say that you could sell it for 250-350€. Maybe a bit more but that is my estimation.

I would say look up the price for all the parts individually (including windows 8) used, and then round that up to the next 50 or 100 because it is already built.

no.  example gulftown which is you processor platform is three generations behind.  Say you payed a thousand dollars when you bought your PC.  When Sandy Bridge came out it would have now been worth 1000/3 = 666.67.  Then Ivy Bridge 666.67/3 = 222.23, then Haswell is the current generation (full retail price) so don't take off that if you are selling it.  Its just a rule of thumb.
