I prefer Avast. 

 

It's more of a tap on the shoulder invasive, rather than a slap in the face like AVG is. Just don't go for Norton, that's like having a yellow pages to the face every 30 minutes.

I personally prefer Avast. AVG is very good in my experience, but it was a little bulky (when I last used it, maybe it has improved). MBAM is a good thing to keep around for cleaning systems, but isn't really for active protection.

After trying both, neither. But if you must choose between, its Avast.
