This guy is explaining (trying to) why some phone chargers, charge batteries faster than other.

Whats the problem, you may ask?

 

The problem is this guy is telling people the following:

 

Given a charger that can output X amps at 5V DC, if you use it to charge some device that requires < X amps @ 5V DC you will damage it. :huh: (03:24)

 

Ok, it's not that bad, nobody is going to die i may stop whining now.

Just an advice ppl: double check what your hear in the internet. No matter the source, people commit mistakes.

You are correct and he is wrong, like many people online. That's why you should always double check recommendations that people gives you.

 

 

İts not all that wrong

At the same voltage, a charger that outputs 1amp vs 2amps don't damage the device. The amperage that electronics drain do not comes from the source, but the consumption of the product (in this case battery).
